Reds manager Richie Barker saluted two-goal Josh Simpson after the midfielder’s late equaliser earned a point at home to Shrewsbury Town today.
The Reds trailed to goals from Matt Richards and Jon Taylor after Simpson had put the Reds in front with a first minute strike. Simpson than popped up inside the box nine minutes from time to grab his second and seal a 2-2 draw.
Barker said: “Josh was excellent, he took his goals well and is the epitome of a player who you know exactly what you are going to get. I would say he and Mat Sadler are the most consistent and reliable players.”
