Ramsgate 1 Three Bridges 1

By Alf Blackler

Bridges gained a valuable point at Ramsgate thanks to a much improved second half performance.

Teenage keeper Jess Grimstone, who came in for the unavailable Alan Mansfield, made an outstanding save before they equalised.

Ramsgate’s Ian Pulman, was caught by Charlie Cooke inside the box and referee Simeon Potter pointed to the spot and Warren Schulz drove past Grimstone.

The second half saw Bridges light up proceedings with Joel O’Hara and Tim Rivers looking sharper than they had in the opening 45 minutes.

Bridges were open to the odd counter attack and in the 58th minute a cracking volley by Ben Laslett was tipped over by Grimstone.

Bridges equalised from the spot after 62 minutes. O’Hara’s pass from the left flank deflected into the path of Marcus Elliott, who was brought down in the box.

Tim Rivers coolly sent the penalty beyond the reach of Darren Hawkes, who then had to be at his best as Elliott, O’Hara and Peauroux all came close to snatching a winner.

Bridges: Grimstone, Carden, Brake, Cooke, Hooper, O’Hara, Peauroux, Nyang, Elliott, Rivers, Touray

Unused subs: Ainine, Forshaw, Maxwell, Bassala

Attendance: 130

Aerotron Man of the Match: Williams Peauroux
