Three Bridges III lost by one wicket against Dome Mission in a low scoring affair in Brighton.
Having been inserted, Bridges batted poorly and lost wicket at regualr intervals.
Only Syed Dabeer (29), Jack Morris (22) and Mark Dunford (11) scored double figures as Bridges ended up 116 all out after 38 overs.
The wickets were shared between Shahzad Afzal (2-18), Bipin Benedict (3-26), Dev Bhadra (2-36) and Ahmad Jamee (2-15).
Bridges fought back well, thanks to a superb opening burst from Morris, taking three wickets in his opening spell.
Spinner Mark Dunford then took three quick wickets to leave the home side in trouble.
But then the rain came and made all the difference as the ball became harder to control for the bowlers.
But Dunford and Morris took another wicket each leaving just one wicket to get and the home side needing 2 runs to win.
Unfortunately the home side came out on top with Dome Mission’s skipper Richard Rigg (18 not out) playing the decisive innings.
Both Three Bridges first and second teams had their matches abandoned due to rain.
