For the third year running Crawley Young Bowlers Club bowlers Oliver Stroud and Cameron Hayward put in great performances at the NAYBC Nationals.
A total of 20 Crawley YBC bowlers travelled to Coventry to take the flagship tournament on a busy schedule and once again Crawley featured in the awards.
Cameron came first in the singles for his age division and for the second year running combined well with Oliver to finish a commendable second in the doubles.
Cameron also went on to bowl well in the team event which helped him to a brilliant second place overall just 45 pins behind the winner.
Another great performance was put in by young Rhys York. At his first Nationals tournament he bowled his personal best highest game of 179 and high series 506.
All the team and parents would like to congratulate all the bowlers for their efforts and enthusiasm and all would agree you did your YBC and Crawley proud.
The club continues to look for new bowlers to help youngsters in the community get into an exciting sport and meet new friends. They meet on Saturday mornings at Hollywood Bowl in Crawley Leisure Park from 9am. Checkout their website at www.crawleyybc.org.uk
