CREATURES great and small paid a visit to pupils at Southgate Primary School.

Year 3 students were able to touch and hold animals – including a baby crocodile, chameleon and a armadillo. Teacher Miss Skippings said: “We are doing a project on woodlands and creatures so we thought it would be a good opportunity for them to see animals up close.

“It’s an absolutely amazing experience for the children and they get so much out of it.

“It’s an experience they’ll always remember.”

Impeyan put on the animal presentation which aimed to bring the outside world to the classroom.

Ellie , 7, said: “The snake was really slimy. It was really good to see all the animals.”

Vinne, 8, added: “It was really exciting. It was all just so brilliant!”
