CRAWLEY Town are confident that Tuesday’s npower League 2 game against Cheltenham at the Broadfield Stadium can go ahead - but they need some help.
On Monday the club will attempt to clear the pitch of snow which is lying on top of the protective covers, as well as the terraces and surrounding areas.
Any supporter who can spare some time on Monday is asked to email customercare@crawleytownfc.com with their availability and if you have a wheelbarrow that you can bring down that would be helpful.
The pitch has been covered since last Monday and underneath the cover is soft and in good condition.
Chief Executive Alan Williams said: “We are very keen to get Tuesday’s game on and we think we have a good chance if we can clear the pitch cover of the snow that is on top of it.
“The snow has done us some good in the fact that it has insulated the playing surface which is playable.
“Our fans are normally very good at answering our calls for help and we need a work party of around 15 people on Monday to assist us in our preparations.
“Please get in touch with the club by email if you can help. Snow clearance will start at around 10am.”
