Crawley put five goals past Lewes in a one-sided affair in Kent/Sussex Regional Division 2.
Crawley started fast and kept the ball well and it wasn’t long until they took the lead as a well worked move down the right saw the ball break to Kieran Fuller who smashed it past the keeper for 1-0 Crawley.
This was however only to be the beginning as Crawley started to run riot before half time.
Fuller added another from close range and Seb Watson got one after a well worked short corner routine.
Next Fuller fired a low flick from a short corner to make it 4-0 and a first half hat-trick for him.
There was also time before the end of the half for Lucas to turn the ball in at the back post to make it five.
Crawley were well and truly out of sight before the break as most of the Lewes attacks either broke down or were well defended by the Crawley defence.
A closer game took place the following day as Crawley squeezed past Cirencester in a nine-goal thriller.
Crawley got the game off to a good start when Seb Watson put the ball on the defender’s foot for a short corner which Fuller flicked past the keeper to make it 1-0.
The home side managed to carve out a couple of chances and resulted in a tap in to make it 1-1. They then had a short corner a few minutes later which after an initial save by Hunt rebounded to an attacker who made it 2-1 to Cirencester.
Crawley fought hard and managed to get back into it when Seb Watson ran at the keeper and was brought down for a penalty stroke which Innes stepped up and put away.
Crawley then took the lead as another short corner resulted in a low flick from Fuller to make it 3-2.
The visitors added to their lead with a contender for Crawley’s best goal of the season - Fuller picked the ball up on the edge of the area, passed to Seb Watson and after two one-twos Fuller was able to slot the ball into an empty goal for his second hat-trick in two days.
A fifth soon followed as Gate got loose in the circle and a low shot was bundled in under the keeper, 5-2.
Cirencester flooded forwards and managed to get one back with about 15 minutes to go.
With time running down they scored again to make it a tense few minutes but Crawley clung on and are through to the quarter finals.
Fuller was named Complete Tyre Services Man Of The Match for both games.
