Bewbush table tennis star Kate Cheer won a gold medal representing England for the first time at the junior Six Nationals Championship held in Guernsey.
In a brilliant display, the Bewbush girl was unbeaten in 10 matches plus five dougbles as England Cadets (Under-15s) won the competition.
In the singles Kate rached the semi-final before losing to Ireland’s Katie McGlone.

Unnoticed by most present on the night, the six points gained this week against their own C team sealed the Premier Division title for Foresters A.
Jonny Clarke (2) Prakash Varsani (1) and Dave Steel (0) knew they were in for a tough night as they faced up to the champions elect, however they trousered three points in a gutsy performance. Wes Bush-Harris (3) Adam Todd (2) and Gary Bonner (1) are celebrating yet another Championship.

Man Of The Match, Mayur Majithia led the way in this one. His treble set up a good win against the Hutsmen, Phil Richardson with a couple and Andy Meads (1) supported well. Jan Collado battled away for a double and Tony Morris chipped in with one, Adam Daley no luck this time around.

The Coppers fought tooth and nail in this one, with relegation staring them in the face every point is gold dust, Stuart Brooks prized out a couple but Gary Bristowe & Chris Pullinger did not contribute. John Callcut (3) Graham Green (2) and Sai Man Yau (2) were just too strong. Mind you 4 games went to 5 and Crawley won 3 of them. Look out for next week the Coppers are playing Spinners B in what will surely be the relegation decider.

Horsham D ran into a powerful Forester outfit and felt the heat, Horshams Graham Barnes (2) Gary Pells (1) and Nick Smith were on the backfoot early on and could not get forward. Matt Craig, Phil Nichols & youngster Kate Cheer all put up doubles.
