FIRE CREWS were called to Crawley Hospital after fumes from building works triggered a fire alarm (Monday February 27).
Crews attended the hospital in West Green at around 11:30am after reports of a smell of burning.
Fumes from building works taking place outside the hospital had drifted inside and set off a fire alarm.
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “There were works going on outside the building.
“The smell from the works was drifting in and it set off a fire alarm.”
