A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged in relation to the death of ex-Crawley Down footballer Connor Saunders.
The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised Sussex Police to charge a 14-year-old boy from Brighton, who cannot be named due to his age, with manslaughter. He remains in custody and is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Wednesday April 18).
A 14-year-old boy also arrested has been bailed until May 8 on suspicion of murder.
A 13-year-old boy who was arrested on suspicion of murder was bailed yesterday (Monday April 16) until May 8.
Connor died on Sunday following an assault on Saturday night in West Street, Rottingdean.
