Crawley Town will be put through their paces this pre-season by new strength and conditioning coach Ross Burbeary.
Manager Sean O’Driscoll worked with Burbeary at his former club Doncaster Rovers, and says he wants to put together a backroom team which can rival those at Premier League clubs.
He said: “I’m delighted that Ross decided to come here, he’s very good at what he does and he was by far the best candidate. I didn’t know him before Doncaster and it was the same situation there in that we had jumped two divisions.
“If we can put a backroom team together that is as good as any in the Premier League it won’t do us any harm.
“Bringing in a strength and conditioning coach was natural progression really because what you do off the pitch is more important nowadays.
“The sole aim of pre-season is to make sure the players are ready for the season and that will be helped by having Ross here.”
