Berlin is the golden girl for Crawley club at the Regional Championship

Isabella Moure Berlin was the golden girl of Crawley at the Regional Championships claiming gold and bronze medals.

Surprising all the opposition Isabella Moure Berlin stormed to victory in the girls 11-year-olds 200 Breaststroke in an amazing National Qualifying Time of 2.57.08 just piping Guildford’s Megan Wallis in a tightly fought race to take the gold medal, following up on Sunday to take a bronze medal in the

100 breaststroke.

Completing a tough weekend of swimming, Isabella also gained a sixth.

Other Crawley swimmers swimming were Alex Sypher who qualified for the boys 200 Individual Medley and 400 Freestyle where he came seventh, achieving a lifetime’s best performance in both races.

Sophie Croydon Kempster competed in the girls 100 breaststroke also qualified for the final achieving a lifetime’s best taking sixth.

Freestyle gaining a personal best time of 4.50.27 in the process. Jade Hand followed up her first weekend’s success when she claimed bronze in the girls 200m butterfly also competed in the 200 & 400 Individual Medley & 200m freestyle showing her range of stokes and talent swimming best times in all her events.

Result highlights:

Medals: 2 golds – Zara Williams & Isabella Moure Berlin

4 silvers – Zara Williams (2), Mai Alland & Federica Williamson

3 bronzes – Jade Hand, Mai Alland & Isabella Moure Berlin
