Three Bridges fourths battled hard for a draw against Crawley Eagles IV on what was a very gloomy day at Cherry Lane, Langley Green.
Batting first, the Eagles got off to a good start thanks to Umair Sohail (28) and Tanveer Haider (55).
But good spell by Michael Ripley (3-29) c6 late on but contained the Eagles in the middle overs.
However, Yaser Ilyas (88 not out) powered the Eagles total to 236-7 with Hugo Cowan taking a couple of late wickets to give Bridges some bonus points.
In reply, Cowan hit a quickfire 23 and fellow opener Dan Burt batted well for his (32), but the Bridges line-up couldn’t keep up with the run rate and settled for the draw early on.
Dylan Jayne contributed 33 in the middle order while Fraser Webb plundered 26 to gain some extra batting points late on.
Zeeshan Khan took 4-34 and Ilyas 3-36 for the Eagles.
